Intro       "Who to meet..... Who to meet?" I want to meet Notch persson. Notch is a video game founder of the game called minecraft. I want to meet notch for three reasons: to learn how to program and create video games, to find out how he was able to become successful, and to learn about him. Body       *learn how to program and create video games                     -I want to learn how to program video games like minecraft.                                    -notch knows how to program video games. Thus he can teach me how to program video games.                     -Once I learn how to program video games I can make lots of video games.                                    -then I can play all those games with my friends.       *find out how notch was able to become successful                     -I want to know how he was able to become successful.                             -when Notch grew up he only started out with a computer and a small house.

INTRO  The temperature is higher than ever. Glaciers are melting. Oceans levels are rising. Eventually the earth will be inhabitable. T his is because we are burning too much fossil fuels. One of the major fuels is gasoline. We waste gasoline everyday on the streets. We have to reduce the use of gasoline. I believe the simplest way to do this is by charging additional carbon taxes on gas. We should charge additional carbon tax gas for the following reasons. BODY     First of all, people will drive less. They will plan on how to save their fuel. For example, a person might move close ti his/her work place. Thus they can bike or walk to work.     Second of all, people might use alternative methods of transportation. These alternatives are like bus, train, etc. For example, there are 50 people who need to go to work. Then there will be 50 cars driving to work. Yet, those 50 people could to all go in one bus. Each car weighs about eight hundred pounds. Each person weighs about 1

Thus polluting our atmosphere.   We have to reduce the use of gasoline. The only way to do this is by charging carbon taxes on gas. We should charge carbon tax gas for the following reasons. BODY  *Taxing gas     -people will drive less: they will plan to use     -People will use alternative methods of transportation: Bus, train, etc             people will alternative energies: solar roof/wind energy for charging electric cars instead. COUNTER ARGUMENT  *commodities will become more expensive. Producers will have to pay more to ship their items to he consumers. For example                -farmers will have to ship their foods to the market, using lots of money for gas.Thus increasing food prices.                -Factories have to use gasoline to ship and produce their goods

As you may know me, I am an extreme gamer. I play games day and night. I am so eager to play, I steal my dad's laptop when I know my dad is asleep and play until midnight, then I return the laptop back to him leaving no trace in his history that I was playing games on his laptop. After the following story, I learned my lesson. I stopped playing video games excessively. It all started when: I was playing the really fun game called Microsoft flight. Microsoft flight was a networked game. The creator of the game Billy Bob Jones was online to challenge people for fun. I was playing for hours. After 6 hours of playing, a thunderstorm came. At first I felt safe since i knew I was indoors and i could not be harmed. But I was wrong. On bolt of lighting shocked our house! The supercharge of energy overpowered my computer!! INTRO      The poem "Mother to Son" by Langston Hughes describes a mother providing valuable advice to her son. The main theme of the poem is to never give up hope and to keep pushing forward when life gets challenging. BODY     Presented throughout the text, the theme of the poem is to hold on to hope. The mother compares her life to stairs. Crystal stairs means that everything is perfect. The mother's life was not a crystal stair. She had many broken holes and tacks in her stairs. This symbolizes struggle in her life. She says that she never gave up. Eventually, she reached the top of the stairs. Thus she succeeded happily in life. If she had given up, she wouldn't be happy. She would always be discouraged, unsuccessful, etc. Since she kept trying, she succeed. Thus she can live her life in happiness. For example, Steve Jobs. Jobs was struggling to sell his products. Even though Jobs kept failing, he didn't stop. Eventually people started to buy

     Everybody needs a chance to decompress after a long day of hard work. For example, my dad. After a long hard day of work, he comes home and watches a movie. But kids are restricted from these video games. For example, I only get about 6 hours of playtime a week. It is not that much. Just like my dad relieves stress, shouldn't kids be allowed to relief their stress with video games?  That is why I believe that kids should be allowed to play video games. Video games relief stress, are very fun, and are educational.      First of all, video games relieves stress. Students come home after school stressed out. They need to relax. Playing video games can solve that problem. Video games allow kids to forget about their worries and relax. When all stress is relieved, his/her mood is back to normal and will do better in his/her work.       Second of all video games are very fun. Kids need to live their lives and have fun.
