Should video games be considered a sport?

Intro
     Hello, I am Arjun Agrawal and I am in seventh grade from Quimby Oak middle school. Today we are debating if video games should being considered  a sport. Unlike many, I believe that video games should be in same level as sports!


Body

     1. Entertainment/Entertainment
          -Sports provide entertainment. The intensity of two teams competing, gives you thrill rides. When your team wins, you feel glorious and finally happy.
          -Video games provide similar entertainment. You get the same thrill ride and you feel just as happy when you win. The only difference is, you can do all this from the comfort of your home with opponents across the planet.

              
     2. Teamwork/Teamwork
          -In sports, you have to cooperate with others. In the game of soccer, two people cooperate to evade the goalie and score. 
          -This is similar in video games. In the game of Zombie Apocalypse, there is an extremely powerful monster at the end of the game. The only way to defeat it is when you and your partners simultaneously hit the monster on each side. Video games require just as much cooperation in sports.

     3. Physical Exercise/Physical  Exercise
          -Sports are all about physical exercise. You are constantly active and moving.
                -Video games in the past, just required you to move your fingers. They gave mental exercise, but no physical exercise.
                -But video games are changing
                -Now days, video games are becoming more and more physically active.
                  -In the game of Wii sports, you can physically play tennis. By the end of the game, you are sweating.

 Conclusion
     In conclusion, I believe that video games should be considered a sport. Video games provide us just as much entertainment. They also requires just as much teamwork. In the future, video games will give us as much exercise. But, all this, in the comfort of our home.

   John A. Fisher is a concerned parent. He believes that garden education is vital to the future of children.  His article, "Growing the Kinder-Garden" argues that schools should teach garden education. In order to convince his audience, Fisher instills a feeling of guilt, appeals to logos, and uses collective pronouns.      First of all, Fisher instills a feeling of guilt into his audience. He talks about how children in today's society barely know about gardening. He provides a strong point stating that, "if you have a young child, ask him or her where food comes from. Don't be surprised if the answer you get is 'From the store!'" This shows that most children don't know where food truly comes from. They are so isolated from the real world of farming, they think that food comes from the stores. In reality, all food comes from farms and gardens. Kids these days are becoming obese. Positive Outlook Essay

     If a glass is filled halfway, is the glass half-full or half-empty? This is a commonly asked question to test a person's outlook. Although both choices are correct, each represents a different outlook. If they say it's half full then they are most likely a positive person. If they say it's half empty then they're most likely a negative person. Having a negative outlook on life can be pretty depressing. However, this is not permanent. It can be fixed.
