              - Do I make a good president for Public speaking debate club?  I think so. Most important quality for a class president is leadership. I show leadership at home, and at school.

                     Leadership by helping  siblings

           Firstly, I show leadership at home by helping my siblings.
                                                        -inspire
                                                             I inspire my siblings to do the best they can in what they love. ex: My younger brother loves cars. So I inspire him to be a car engineer
                                                        -encourage
                                                              I encourage them to learn and try out new things.
                                                             ex: give candy to my baby brother for remembering his "ABC's"
                                                        -constructive feedback
                                                               Whenever they make a mistake I correct them and give them constructive feedback. For example: If my little brother gets the letter "d" wrong, I make him pronounce it 5 times and write it 5 times.

Next I show leadership at school by helping my friends and partners. I inspire my friends to keep on going and never give up on theitr difficult assignments. I also encourage my friends to do whatever they want to be when they grow up. My friend Justin loves this game called Minecraft. So I encourage him to be a video game designer. Next I show them strategy. For example: Whenever my friends are giving a speech and they are nervous, I tell them to imagine a giant tomato on the audience's head. Lastly I give them constructive feedback. Whenever they make a mistake I correct them, and help them not to make the mistake again. We can show the same amount of leadership over here in this class.

                                                          Problem: because of the budget cuts, school has little money for teachers and programs. Teachers have little salary. Class time is getting shorter

-Collect money door to door from parents.

                                                          -last year for my school drive I went door to door

What have you done

 last year for my school drive I went door to door.   I raised up to 150$! Not only did I help the school I got a big prize. We could do the same for this class!

What I have done to help my school is that last year for my school drive I went door to door selling items. I raised up to 150$! Not only did I help the school, I got a big prize.

   There are some weak students in my class who need help. So if I was elected president, Here are the things that I will do listed in my election agenda: I will form form buddy groups where weak and strong students will be put into. There will be web page for exchanging contact info to contact each other. I will create 1 Google hangout for each group. Whenever someone needs help, they can contact someone from their group and discuss ideas on how to improve speaking.

Conclusion

                -In conclusion, I think I would make a great president for the public speaking debate club because I am a great leader at home with my siblings, with my friends, and at school. Lastly I have an election agenda to help the weak students in my class.

Response To Literature: "Both Sides of the Fence"

The story, "Both Sides of the Fence" by Teresa Bateman describes a character named Alberto who learns a valuable lesson, to not be selfish. Alberto owns a very beautiful tree. Alberto brags about his tree to the whole city. His neighbor Juan admires and reaches out to Alberto. Since Juan was admiring something that did not belong to him, Alberto got mad. Alberto wanted to stop Juan from looking at his tree. So to block Jaun's view he built a giant fence. In the middle of the story, Alberto's tree's branches lean over to Jaun's land. I want to address the privacy practices of Healthcare industry. As a computer scientist I have already made strides in exposing data leaks in systems. I want to institute the provacy practices to secure the medical data.
