huckleberry finn

Huckleberry Finn, a 14 year old boy, lived in Missouri. Finn's father was lost and became drunkard after Finn's mother had died. So a widow named Douglas and her sister Polly adopted Finn. From an early age Finn was very generous and donated all his money to the good of the town. Finn was a very smart boy at school. Finn had great friend named Jim. Jim was Finn's aunt's slave. Jim was a poor young man, but he never went to school and had no family. Together they had many adventures.

Once Finn found $6000 in a hidden place. He donated all the money to the judge of his town. Kind judge payed Finn interest of $1 a day as allowance for his donation.

All of a sudden Finn's father appeared out of nowhere.
It had been two years since they had seen each other
State:Drunk, out of shape, hungry, desperate
Always blamed his wife's death on Finn
Finn was rich, father was not, Father was jealous
Father demanded money from Finn
Finn already gave all the money to the judge
Father was furious, father wanted the money
Father went to judge, Judge didn't give any money.
Father kidnapped Finn

Finn was trapped in small cabin
He found a seesaw, and cut a hole out of the cabin
To fake his death, Finn killed a pig and spread blood all over the room.
Finn made a boat and escaped back to his town

Everyone in his town knew about Finn's death. Finn had to avoid everyone on his town or else he would be returned to his father
So Finn went to someone he trusted, Jim

Jim and Finn both started a journey to escape to Illinois
This is where Jim could be free from slavery and Finn could live without a drunk father
On their first stop Finn met an owner of plantation, who made friends with Finn, made him comfortable, etc.
Plantation owner, Frank, had many battles with his brother over the ownership of the plantation.
Finn escaped to avoid getting involved with their fight.

On the next stop on the way to Illinois, Finn met two thieves who were pretending to be a king and a duke.
They made a deal to help each other to get to Illinois.
But they needed money for food
Multiple times they organized plays to collect money and they ran away without the performance.

During a play, they discovered that a real king's brother in England was dead and left an inheritances of 6000 dollars to the real king.
So the fake king pretended to be the real king and got all the 6000 gold from the real king's dead brother
Finn felt ashamed of being involved with these thieves
So Finn got the fake king and fake duke captured.
The real king took all the 6000 gold, and donated it all to his nieces.

One day when Finn went hunting he lost Jim!
Finn felt really ashamed for leaving his friend behind
There was a farmer who caught runaway slaves, had caught Jim.

Finn seeked the help of Tom to help Jim escape.
During the midnight, Finn and Tom attempted to smuggle Jim out, but Tom's uncle woke up and caught them.
Without realizing he shot his own nephew, Tom .
When he realized he shot his nephew, he blamed Jim and attempted to hang him.
Tom intervened and convinced his uncle that Jim was a free slave.
So the farmer let Jim go .

Finn and Jim were tired of running around and living with small means.
They wanted to live with a proper family in a comfortable house
So they requested Tom's aunt if Finn and Jim could live with her
Tom's aunt also wanted  a little company in her house. Finn and Jim could do some work around the house.
So Tom's aunt adopted Finn and Jim.
So Finn and Jim decided to abandon their plan about going to Illinois.
From then on Jim, Tom, and Finn , and the farmers family lived happily ever after.

These are the adventures of Huckleberry and his friend Jim. It is a story of betrayal, friendship, deception  loss of a friend, and finally finding a home and family.  The lesson I learned was to not to lose hope and move forward in life.
